About PSMO College
Pocker Sahib Memorial Orphanage College (PSMO) was established in 1968 as an aided junior college, affiliated to the University of Kerala under the management of the Tirurangadi Muslim orphanage committee, the college became under the University of Calicut in the same year.

The college has expanded in terms of infrastructure, courses, staff and students strength, the college has emerged as one of the premier institutions of higher learning under the Calicut University. At present nine degree courses and six post graduate courses are offered by the college. The college was mainly intended for the educational progress of the orphans of the Muslim community but it also fulfills the educational aspirations of students from all communities.

The goals and objectives of the college Management are

a) To look after orphans and destitute, to impart religious, secular and technical education and training.

b) In pursuance of the above objectives- to establish and run orphanages, educational institutions, vocational training centres, hospitals and other charitable institutions.

c) To raise funds to acquire sufficient capital and properties so as to meet the expenses necessary for attaining the objectives above.

The college is situated at a distance of 13 km from the Calicut University Campus, 24 km from the District Head Quarters at Malappuram, 8 km from the Parappanangadi Railway station, 13 km from the Calicut Airport and 1km from the NH 17 at Kakkad.
