Tirurangadi is a famous and historical small Town in Malappuram District. It is much famed for its active participation  in the freedom struggle. Tirurangadi has a great history during the period of British rule. Tirurangadi is a Panchayath as well as a Taluk. It is located 30 km away from Calicut City, 195 km distance from Eranakulam and 25 km from Malappuram.

How to Reach
National Highway 17 passes nearby this town. Alight at Kakkad by bus. 2 km distance from kakkad.  It situated between Kakkad and Chemmad, major Towns. The nearest railway station is at Parappanangadi, 7 km away from the town and Calicut International Airport is just 21 km away.

Tirurangadi Panchayath functioning at Mamburam bypass junction. Important Pilgrim Centre Mamburam Mosque situated here.  The important Government Offices are, Taluk Office, Taluk Supply Office, Taluk Head Quarters Hospital, Govt. Treasury, Block Development Office, CI (Circle Inspector) office of Police, Sub RTO office, Mini Civil Station, (Kodhini Road).
